Marramarra Lodge offers 14 contemporary residences, with a maximum of 28 guests at any one time offering a sense of exclusivity. Each residence is named after Dharug words for flora and fauna native to the area.
There are three styles of accommodation, including the Peninsula Tent, a river-safari style experience overlooking the water, the Hawkesbury Bungalow, minimalist lodgings framed with a bush and river backdrop, and the Bay Bungalow, a favourite with honeymooners for its more secluded location.
Each accommodation space is designed for privacy and to capture the majestic Hawkesbury River and bushland views. They feature spacious river-stone bathrooms, plus large balconies designed to overlook the river and bushland backdrop, made for lounging and enjoying moments of river life as it meanders by.
The light-filled interiors feature stylishly appointed king beds, leather lounges and bespoke artworks to create a feeling of relaxed, understated luxury.

Getting here
Located at Fisherman’s Point on the Hawkesbury River and framed by Marramarra National Park, the journey to Marramarra Lodge is very much a key component of the experience, as the roads disappear and the river becomes the path to this riverside retreat.
- By car: just north of Sydney, take the Mooney Mooney exit along the M1. Free car parking is available at Deerubbun Reserve Boat Ramp where you will be collected for your boat transfer.
- Private Chauffeur Service: available to Deerubbun Reserve Boat Ramp, including the Tesla option. Please contact our Reservations team for a quote.
- Sydney Seaplane: available from Rose Bay and Palm Beach direct to our jetty, the trip takes between 15-25 minutes. Please contact our Reservations team for a quote.
- Helicopter: available from Bankstown or Sydney Airport direct to our private helipad, the trip takes 20 minutes. Please contact our Reservations team for a quote.
Our scheduled boat transfers depart Deerubbun Reserve Boat Ramp, located at Deerubbun Reserve at 10:30 am and 2:00 pm daily.
Please note that on Tuesdays and Thursdays we only have one boat transfer running per day.
Tuesday – 10:00 am departure from Marramarra Lodge to Deerubbun.
Thursday – 2:00 pm arrival from Deerubbun to Marramarra Lodge.
River transport required between dusk and dawn will need to be pre-arranged and is subject to availability and additional charges.

All rooms have a King bed and include reverse cycle air conditioning, WIFI, bathrobes, a hairdryer, mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, desk, shower and balcony.

Note: TV’s in Bungalows only. The Peninsula Tents are designed for completely switching off and tuning into your environment.
Check-in / Check-out
Check-in:
The regular check-in time is 2 pm when our boat transfers guests from Deerubbun Boat Ramp, Mooney Mooney.
Option: scheduled boat transfers are at 10.30 am and 2 pm. If you elect the 10.30 am transfer service, you will enjoy a light lunch on arrival and lodge facilities, while your room will be made available by 2 pm.
Check-out:
Check-out time is 10:00 am or 11:00 am when guests are returned by boat transfer to Deerubbun Boat Ramp, Mooney Mooney.
If you arrive on the 10.30 am early boat transfer, the departure is 10 am the following day.
If you arrive on the 2 pm scheduled boat transfer, you will have access to your accommodation until 11 am the following day, with a light lunch at this time, and the scheduled boat transfer to Mooney Mooney departing at 1.30 pm.

A valid credit card is required for all reservations. Credit card fees apply.

Reservations are subject to availability and pricing at the time of booking.

A 50% deposit is payable on booking. The balance of your stay is payable 7 days prior to arrival. Upon departure, outstanding balances will be charged to the nominated credit card.

There is a no-smoking internally at the Lodge including Bungalows, Peninsula Tents, Boatshed, Budyari Restaurant and poolside.

Pets may not be brought onto the premises except for assistance dogs.
Travel Insurance
Marramarra Lodge reserves the right not to provide exemptions from its cancellation policy for medical or personal matters, inclement weather, or other circumstances. It is recommended to purchase adequate travel insurance prior to confirmation and acceptance of terms, conditions, and cancellation policy.
Cancellation policy
All cancellation and refund requests must be in writing and submitted by email to [email protected]
Unless otherwise stipulated, the following cancellation fees apply:
- Promotional and Discount Code bookings are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made 15 days prior to arrival avoid a cancellation fee and will have the deposit refunded.
- Cancellations made between 14 days and 8 days prior to arrival incur a cancellation fee equal to one night’s accommodation for every room booked.
- Cancellations made between 7 days and your arrival day will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total booking value.
Early departures and no-shows:
- A fee equivalent to 100% per night plus taxes for early departures applies.
- In the event of a no-show (i.e. you neither use nor cancel your reservation), a fee equivalent to the value of the entire stay will be incurred.
- Early departures or cancellations due to inclement weather are fully chargeable.
Iyora Spa Treatments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Where Marramarra Lodge books a transfer or tour with a third-party operator their terms and conditions apply for cancellations and amendments.
COVID-19 policy
Marramarra Lodge operates as a CovidSafe business and is complying with all COVID-19 regulations as outlined by the NSW government. Our number one priority is the safety of our colleagues, our guests and our community.
In the event that there is a COVID-19-related travel ban, health or quarantine restriction at your point of departure or at the Lodge that restricts you from traveling to us, we will provide a full refund for a pre-paid reservation and/or waive all applicable penalties.
In the event that you are in residence at the Lodge and unable to depart on schedule due to a COVID-19 travel ban, health or quarantine restriction, the lodge will extend your stay based on a discretionary reduced rate.
Child policy
Marramarra Lodge is unable to accommodate children under the age of 16.
We welcome children 16 years and over.
Gift vouchers
Marramarra Lodge Gift Vouchers are available for purchase to any value, and are valid for 36-months from the date of issue. Please note no refunds can be issued for any unredeemed values.

Our terrain is often uneven and challenging for everyone, however we are happy to create accessible and private arrangements, once we know how we can assist our guests needs.
