Pearl Appreciation masterclasses with Broken Bay Pearl Farm

Join Broken Bay Pearl Farmers at Marramarra Lodge for a hands-on pearling experience to learn all the intricacies of pearl farming. From the indigenous beginnings to the finished product. Every oyster has a story, and this one ends with a pearl.
Pearl appreciation workshops will take place at The Boatshed, from 3pm on the first Saturday of the month in June, July & August. Available for in-house guests only.
A French Affair this July at Marramara Lodge
During July, Marramarra Lodge will embark on a culinary journey to celebrate the French origins of our chef, Jerome Tremoulet.
In the spirit of Bastille Day on July 14, Jerome will be preparing several favourite dishes of his homeland for a sensory experience all month-long.
A highlight will be the traditional Cassoulet from Castelnaudary, Jerome’s home town, with a generational-shared recipe of the Tremoulet family. This Gallic dish is a slow-simmered dish of white beans, sausage, duck confit and pork – a heartening dish to warm up winter.
The French-themed lunch menu will change daily. Menu highlights to whet the appetite, for your July booking:

The main affair:
- Cassoulet from Castelnaudary
- Beef Bourguignon with pilaf rice

Wildflower Walks in Muogamarra Nature Reserve
Join the rare few who get to witness the extraordinary wildflowers and the beauty of Muogamarra Nature Reserve this year, a largely unexplored wilderness usually closed to the public.
Marramarra Lodge has teamed up with National Parks to offer its guests exclusive packages including guided tours to Muogamarra in August and September, when the reserve is at its most beautiful, blanketed in spring wildflowers such as waratahs, banksias, pink boronias and native orchids. Guests will also view Aboriginal rock carvings, take in the striking landscape of sandstone plateaus and the mighty river, and may even spot echidnas, lyrebirds or soaring wedge-tail eagles.
